Soybean futures played possum for a while, but eventually posted gains of 12 to 18 cents per bushel. November was the strongest for a change, but July continues to peck away at the expiration gap left behind when May futures expired. Oil World is projecting that US soybean imports this year will be 32 million bushels including the usual imports from Ontario and some from South America. Argentine sources indicate that at least one vessel (30,000 MT) destined for the US is loading at the present time. Dow Jones indicates that the trade is looking for US weekly export sales through May 16 to be 400-800,000 MT. Soybean meal sales are seen at 100-225,000 MT and soy oil estimates are 0 to 15,000 MT.
