Soybean futures are only slightly lower at midday after most contracts were showing losses of a dime or more earlier in the session. Pressure comes from a steady flow of impressive yield reports and the monster-crop mindset, but an export sale of 120,000 MT to China announced this morning brought little support to help prices bounce from recent lows. Weekly export inspections for soybeans reported yesterday were relatively weak. On Monday afternoon, NASS reported 68% of the national crop is dropping leaves; 4 points ahead of the five year average. The harvest is 10% complete vs. the 5yr avg for this date of 13% complete. The Brugler500 crop condition index was UNCH at 383.
