Wheat futures are 4 to 8 cents higher at midday, after double digit losses in the thin overnight Globex trade were rejected by the adults. USDA weekly export inspections showed 368,818 MT of wheat, an increase of just 2.29% from the week before, but only 76.53% of the 2014 figures during the same period. Yearly inspections are only 68.94% of the 2014 inspections at this time last year. The Kansas Wheat Harvest Update reports that harvest has started in northern Kansas fields around Goodland, and will be north into Nebraska in no time. European wheat crops are stressing and yields are dropping, due to high temperatures and limited rain.
