Closes: GCZ4 +5.7 (+0.36%), SIZ4 +0.084 (+0.48%), HGZ4 -0.0155 (-0.52%). Gold and silver closed higher on speculation the Fed may maintain record low interest rates after Dallas Fed President Fisher said he wants to see how the U.S. economy proceeds before raising interest rates. Copper closed lower on Chinese demand concerns on expectations that Q3 China GDP data will show the Chinese economy eased to a +7.2% y/y pace in Q3, the slowest pace of expansion in over 5 years.
