Metals prices this morning are mixed: GCM6 +0.7 (+0.05%), SIN6 -0.117 (-0.66%), HGN6 -0.037 (-1.61%). Monday's closes: GCM6 +5.3 (+0.41%), SIN6 -0.137 (-0.77%), HGN6 -0.017 (-0.74%). Metals on Monday settled mixed with Jun gold at a 1-1/4 year high. Metals prices were boosted by the fall in the dollar index to a 1-1/4 year low and by increased demand for gold as an inflation hedge after the Apr ISM prices-paid sub-index climbed to a 19-month high. Copper closed lower on demand concerns after the Apr ISM manufacturing index and the China PMI manufacturing index both were weaker than expected.
