Metals prices this morning are mixed: GCZ5 -0.7 (-0.07%), SIZ5 +0.072 (+0.51%), HGZ5 +0.013 (+0.61%). Friday's closes: GCZ5 -13.8 (-1.29%), SIZ5 -0.150 (-1.06%), HGZ5 +0.0045 (+0.22%). Metals prices on Friday settled mixed with Dec gold at a 5-3/4 year low and Dec copper at a 1-week high. Gold prices were undercut by the rally in the dollar index to an 8-1/2 month high and by the drop in long gold positions in ETFs to a 6-3/4 year low. Copper closed higher after LME copper inventories fell -1.450 MT to a 10-month low of 243,350 MT.
