Metals prices this morning are mixed: GCQ6 +2.8 (+0.21%), SIU6 +0.381 (+2.13%), HGU6 -0.004 (-0.18%). Tuesday's closes: GCQ6 -6.8 (-0.51%), SIU6 +0.103 (+0.58%), HGU6 +0.0500 (+2.35%). Metals on Tuesday settled mixed with Sep copper at a 1-3/4 month high. Metals prices were boosted by a weaker dollar and by optimism that global policy makers will take measures to promote growth after the Nikkei newspaper reported that a 20 trillion yen ($196 billion) stimulus proposal has been submitted to Japanese Prime Minister Abe. Gold closed lower after the rally in world equity markets reduced the safe-haven demand for gold.
