Metals prices on Wednesday settled mixed: Closes: GCG5 -5.8 (-0.45%), SIH5 -0.094 (-0.52%), HGH5 +0.0170 (+0.69). Gold fell after the dollar rose and crude oil sold off, which reduced inflation expectations and curbed demand for gold as an inflation hedge. Copper prices rose on short covering after the German Economy Ministry raised its German 2015 GDP forecast, which signals stronger economic growth and industrial metals demand.
