Cookies are used to save settings in your browser. Therefore, these settings
only apply to your browser, and as such, are not transferrable to a
different computer.
Internet Explorer 6.X
- Click on Tools
- Click on Internet Options...
- Click on Privacy Bar
- Click on the Advanced Button
- Follow the insturction found there and set your cookie preferences. Please do keep in mind that you need cookies to be enabled in order to view all pages found on equities site.
- Click either OK or Cancel
Netscape 6.X
- Click on Edit
- Click on Preferences
- Click on the Privacy and Security Node in the tree
- Click on Cookies
- On the Right Side, there is an option to enable Cookies on. Make sure
this is checked.
- Click either OK or Cancel
Older Browser Versions:
Internet Explorer 5.5 and lower
Internet Explorer has preset Security Levels, and you can also customize them.
- If version 4, click on Edit. If version 5, click on Tools
- Click on Internet Options
- Click on the Security Tab.
- The slider should not be at the very top (Maximum). All other
levels (including high) are fine.
- Click OK
Netscape 4.X
Netscape 4.0 allows you to toggle cookies on and off.
- Click on Edit
- Click on Preferences
- Click on the Advanced Node in the tree
- On the Right Side, there is an option to turn Cookies on. Make sure
this is checked.
- Click OK
Netscape 3.0
In Netscape 3.0, there is no way to really turn cookies off. You can, however,
view the cookies as they come in, to ensure that cookies are working. To
toggle these settings:
- Click on Options
- Click on Network Preferences
- Click on the Protocols Tab. If the "Accepting a Cookie" is checkmarked,
then Netscape will prompt you about every cookie that is being set.
- Click OK
